1. Introduction

Welcome to Dupie ("we", "our", or "us"). Dupie is designed to help users identify and clean duplicate photos directly on their device. Your privacy is extremely important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Dupie handles information when you use the application.

2. Photo Library Access

Dupie requests access to your photo library solely to:

All photo analysis and processing occurs locally on your device. Your photos are never uploaded, transmitted, stored on external servers, or shared with third parties. We do not have access to your photos at any time.

3. Data Collection

Dupie does not automatically collect, store, or transmit personal data. We do not collect:

The one exception is the voluntary in-app feedback feature, which is described fully in Section 4 below.

4. In-App Feedback

Dupie includes an optional feedback form. Submitting feedback is entirely voluntary — nothing is sent unless you choose to write a message and tap Submit.

When you submit feedback, the app sends a request to our services. The request contains this information:

Your message — the free-text message you typed. This is the only user-generated content transmitted. Do not include personal information you do not wish to share.

Platform and version - Details on whether if you're using iOS or Android, and what version of the Dupie app. It is not derived from your device, this data is hardcoded into each app release.

No device identifier, IP address, user account, or photo data is included in this request. We use the feedback solely to improve Dupie. We do not share it with third parties.

The same data is used when you submit a message via the contact form at dupie.app/support.

5. Beta Testing and TestFlight

If you are using a beta version of Dupie distributed through Apple's TestFlight platform, please note that TestFlight is operated by Apple Inc.

When you install and use a beta version through TestFlight, Apple may collect diagnostic and crash information about the app's performance. This information:

Dupie does not directly collect, receive, or control this diagnostic data. We may view anonymised crash reports made available within Apple's developer tools solely to improve app stability and performance.

6. Third-Party Services

Dupie does not integrate with analytics providers, advertising networks, attribution services, cloud storage services, or external AI processing services. All photo processing operates solely on your device.

7. Data Security

Since Dupie does not transmit or store user data externally (other than voluntary feedback messages as described above), your information remains protected by your device's built-in security and operating system safeguards. Feedback messages are transmitted over HTTPS.

8. Children's Privacy

Dupie does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Because no personal data is automatically collected, Dupie complies with applicable children's privacy regulations.

9. International Users

Dupie is operated from Australia. Since Dupie does not automatically collect or process personal data, no personal information is transferred internationally by us. Voluntary feedback messages are transmitted to servers hosted in accordance with standard industry practices.

10. Your Rights

Because Dupie does not automatically collect or store personal data, there is generally no personal data for us to access, correct, delete, or transfer. If you have submitted feedback and would like it removed, please contact us and we will action your request.
